  • Co-authored PloneLive with Michel Pelletier; Actively promoted Plone with a free PloneLive offer – todate we have distributed for free over 600 books to the community to help grow the Plone eco-system; We have plans to distribute another 400 books over the next 12 months
  • Plone technologist and evangelist since 2001; Over the last four years, I have been responsible for building over 50+ web applications using Zope, CMF, Plone, MySQL, and LDAP technologies; Active blogger to help promote Plone (http://www.plonelive.com/); Active speaker in forums such as LinuxAsia, Plone Conference, SDForum etc.
  • Intiated GoldEgg project along with Paul Everitt (http://www.goldeggstack.org/)
  • Certified Zope trainer – Conducted 12+ Zope training programs and 20+ Plone training programs to over 250 Zope / Plone professionals
  • Key Plone related open source contributions include JaWE2Openflow, Web Services support on Plone, Eclipse Plug-in for Safari books online etc.
  • Organized January 2005 San Jose Plone Sprint, September 2005 Austria Sprint and the November 2005 San Jose sprint

Who am I?

  • Father of two wonderful kids (one is 3 years & the other is 1 year old); Husband of a simple, understanding and terrific home-maker
  • Co-founder and CTO of CIGNEX Technologies – A company committed to open source and to Plone.  We have a 45 person open source development team, out of which 15 are exclusively Plone developers
  • Global professional – lived and worked in the US, Europe and Asia (including Japan)
  • Active Plone enthusiast since 2001 – I have co-authored a book on Plone; I blog on Plone; I have completed 50+ development projects in Zope/Plone; I have conducted 32+ Zope/Plone training sessions; I have organized one Plone sprint and plan to organize two more this year; I have spoken at numerous conferences, symposiums and forums on Plone and other open source topics
  • Spoken at conferences like LinuxAsia, Plone Conference, SDForum etc. Through my speaking engagements and panel discussions, I promoted Plone and the Zope framework.  Also, I have convinced my company to sponsor many events and conferences. 
  • For the upcoming Plone Conference 2006 in USA, CIGNEX is the “platinum sponsors”.  I am presenting a talk on Open Source Best Practices. Besides the talk I am also moderating a panel discussion "Plone and Large Enterprises".
  • Extensive technology and people management experience – over 16 years of experience managing engineering teams and acting as chief architect of several large-scale projects in open source and J2EE technologies.
  • I have an MS in Digital Electronics from REC Surathkal, India.
