He has written various books and articles about Zope, Python, and other leading web technologies. He has been working on Python and Zope for over five years. He also worked at Zope Corporation, helping them develop Zope versions 1.0 to 2.2 and creating features such as ZCatalog and MIME encoding support. Munwar Shariff, Co-Author

Munwar heads the global delivery team at CIGNEX Technologies as Vice President. He has over 14 years of experience managing engineering teams and acting as chief architect of several large-scale projects in open source and J2EE Technologies. His experience spans three continents - USA, Europe, and Asia. Since co-founding CIGNEX in late 2000, he worked on more than 40 web applications using Zope, CMF, Plone, MySQL, and LDAP technologies. He has written a number of articles on open source, and he is a frequent speaker at conferences related to this topic. He has consulted with clients such as Epson, Lawrence Livermore, Broadvision, Wal-mart, Mitsubishi, and Compaq. He earned his M.S. from REC Surathkal, India.

Amy Kesic, Lead Editor

Amy worked as a technical writer for 4 years before taking time out to be a full-time mom to her three children. In January 2004, Amy joined the SourceBeat Publishing editorial team, and in June 2004, she became the Lead Editor. Currently, she is also involved in two volunteer positions: Girl Scout Troop Leader and Publicity Chair for her MOPS group (a group for mothers of young children). Her interests include reading (of course!), working on her personal web site, home improvement projects, log homes, traveling, politics, and much more. Amy lives in sunny Colorado and enjoys "getting away from it all" in the Rocky Mountains.

Jean Jordaan, Technical Editor

Jean studied languages at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and spent the first year of his Masters program in the Netherlands. After he returned to South Africa in 1996, the Internet had arrived in the humanities department in Stellenbosch. He started developing the department's web site, which published poetry magazines. Jean spent three years developing applications on Linux and found his home in the open source movement. He is active in the Zope and Plone community and contributed to online Plone documentation. He currently works for upfront systems and does projects of his own. One of his projects is a book for the tuXlabs project.
